Watercolor Painting

With Barbara Farrell

This class will teach you watercolor techniques that can bring new energy and excitement to any style of painting and any level of painter.  There will be demonstrations and paint-a-long with the instructor.
 

Sept. 24th- Oct. 29th skipping the 22nd

6 weeks beginning Thursday mornings

Class time 9:00 am -12:00

Fee: $70 for members

$80 for non members

Students please provide your own materials.
 
 

Painting with Pat

Oil Painting        With Patrick Sullivan

This is a beginning oil painting class that will teach you steps from stretching a canvas, to mixing colors creating textures and different styles of the oil painting process.
 

Sept 26th –Oct. 31st

6 weeks on Sat. afternoons

Class time: 1:00 to 3:00pm

Fee: $50.00 members

$60.00 non-members

Acrylic Painting

With Sandra Nowicki
 

Experience the excitement of learning to paint in oils and acrylics. Learn to compose paintings with depth by the use of warm and cool colors. Learn to use mediums to create glazes and textures. Explore mixing versatile neutral colors to create dramatic shadows. Learn brush techniques and styles to bring your painting to life on the canvas.
 

Nov. 3rd – Dec. 8th

6 weeks beginning Tuesday evenings

Class time: 6:30-8:30pm

Fee: $50 for KAA members

$60 for non members

Students please provide your own materials.
 
 

Open Studio Night on the

Second Saturday of the month

June 13th, July 11th, Aug. 8th, Sept. 12th, Oct. 10th, Nov. 14th

This is an open studio format.  Come down and work on artwork or just chat with fellow artist.         Time 6:00 - 9:00 pm

There is no fee for this time, but a donation for refreshments would be appreciated.
 
 

Wallpaper Collage Workshop With Sandy Nowicki
 

Create a striking collage using wallpaper from sample books. KAA will provide wallpaper books with a variety of textures, colors and patterns. Learn to design a collage, combining colors and textures and dark and light shades of colors.  Students should bring a photo or two to use as inspiration. Students need to bring foamcore or illustration or mat board 18" x 24" or smaller. matte gel medium to use as a glue, old medium or large paint brush for glue, plastic water container to wash out brush, scissors, ruler, pencils, paper towels, plastic bag to carry collage home.
 

Saturday morning Dec. 5th one day workshop Class time 9-12am

Fee: $15 for KAA members   $25 for non-members

Stop in and browse through the great gifts and fine art for sale.  The gallery is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm, and from 6-9pm on the Second Saturday of each month.
